another reason this city is great

while the constant protesting, griping and new ageism in san francisco can be a bit wearing.

more often than not you get a genius moment like this.

from sfist

“Looking to honor the forty-third President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, the recently formed Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco is looking to change the name of the Oceanside Wastewater Treatment Facility. It seems the group would like to rename the SF Zoo adjacent facility to the “George W Bush Sewage Plant.”

i think the people of the city would be pleased to honor our commander in chief so adroitly and accurately.

here is the website for the ballot initiative.

i would love to sign this petition. if and when it gets on the ballot in november i am certainly voting for it.

I dislike this president as much as the next guy and he’ll surely be remembered as the worst 2 term president, if not the worst of all time. But still, the office of the president deserves some respect, and as hilarious as this is, I must object to it as being distasteful.
