little stuck

been in a bit of a writer’s blocked/blogged rut recently. seems that if i have a topic other stuff comes up and i don’t get to it and it is not that topical by the time i have time.

also it seems that i am running out of words after crafting all of these damn cover letters. they really wipe me out since i am so critical of my writing when i am trying to convey a more businesslike voice. i have written 6 of them in the last 2 days since i am really trying as hard as i can to get employed in an enjoyable gainful way before the economy gets too terrible.

there has already been a bunch of layoffs in san francisco and i am getting freaked. that and the fact that julie and i need to get a new place and the prices are rising again. we have til the end of may but we want to get a jump on the whole thing. i would much rather eat a month on the current place than be out on the street the day before my birthday.

well for a post that was going to be only a youtube video as a way of saying hey i am trying to get the mind moving. i have written 200+ words.

well here is the video by a guy who has blown me away with the simplicity and beauty of his music. the name is bon iver the record is for emma, forever ago and to top it off he is from eau claire, wi. proud to promote someone from my homestate.

Sorry to leave this on my comments page, I didn’t see an email address.

I’m going around to all the Bay Area bloggers/freelancers to let them know about our new book by a local author, the Historic Photos of Paris by Rebecca Schall. We’d love to send you a complimentary copy for possible review consideration on your blog of this book or of her previous title, the Historic Photos of San Francisco. These titles are done in a large 10×10 format and all images used are culled from several archives that represent rare or never before seen photos of San Francisco and Paris. We’re trying to get the word out to local folks, so I hope you don’t mind me dropping you a line to let you know about our books!

She has an upcoming signing on June 14th at 3pm at the Fisherman’s Wharf Barnes & Noble.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Best,
    Rachel Joiner
